TEACHING INTERN POSITION- TEACHER TRAINING OPPORTUNITY
The Kohelet Yeshiva Lab School, a growing educationally progressive K-8 Modern Orthodox Day School located in Lower Merion, Pennsylvania, seeks a dynamic and talented aspiring educator for our K/1 multi-age classroom for the 2016-2017 school year. The Teaching Intern Position is envisioned as a full-day position encompassing all Judaic and General Studies instruction.
The successful candidate will have completed or will be working toward a degree in Early Childhood or Elementary School education and will be seeking a hands-on learning experience in our progressive learning environment.
He or she will be excited by the opportunity to:
- Collaborate to learn how to create and implement an integrated curriculum of Judaic and General Studies.
- Be trained and grow as a constructivist educator.
- Work with a talented and passionate team in pioneering a new and progressive school that will impact the field of Jewish Education in North America.
The Teacher Intern will work with the principal and consultant to be trained and implement constructivist pedagogy in all subject areas. The Teacher Intern will rotate through all elements of the Yeshiva Lab School day assisting the lead teachers both in the planning and execution of their student learning experiences. The Teacher Intern will also having select occasion to stand in for them and experience the role of lead teacher firsthand.
